General Message Board > New Website

So, a whole lot of work went in to this website you're looking at and as the guy who did pretty much all of it I want to know what you think about it. I would be remiss if I didn't extend a thanks to all the people who helped out by providing opinions or whatnot and also Dan Kinsella for help with the banner image, Tim Mann for help with the Links page and the banner for the ComicDorksCast page. So really, what do you think about the site? Is it better than the last one? Is there something you think we're still lacking? Let us know! We want this to be a regular part of your daily websurfing and the best way for that to happen is for you all to feel like you have a hand in what goes on here. So if there is something you want reviewed let us know. If there is something you want added to the site let us know. Either post it here or drop us a line in the "Contact Us" section, or mention it the next time you're in the store!

The site is a vast improvement over the previous incarnation. Much more of a streamlined look to it, which is a good thing. The layout is aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate. Oh, and my amazingly sexy visage can be seen in all its glory in the Florissant Store and Staff section, which is worth the price of admission right there! Anyhow, well done sir (and good job with the assist crappy BC clerks. :p)

Great new site! I like the new look and would love for this messageboard to get a lot more active. It would be good for meeting other people for games. Thanks for setting it up, Scott!

Our messageboards were quite active when they were up in the previous incarnation of our website, but because we weren't involved in the creation of the website the way we are now we didn't know how to fix it when it went down and so people fell out of the habit of coming and posting and expecting there to be a thriving community on the site. Hopefully we'll be able to prove to people that the site is alive and well again and that they should return to the boards and find a great conversation about comics, a possible new gaming group, or anything in the realm of geekery.

The current design is a big improvement. Glad to see a great store getting some improved representation online. When do online sales start? Lots of hungry wallets out there...

I don't know what happened to everyone but there doesn't appear to be many people reading the forums here. Certainly seems less than before the new website.

Well Nick, it certainly didn't help that our previous message boards were down for months before we made the switch to the new site, I think it'll just take a little bit of time for people to find the boards again and start talking. We're certain that it will become as thriving a community as it had been.

As a person who has developed a website before, I can attest that yours is a work of art. Others have pointed out why; I just want to agree with them. Good work!

Good to see a webpage worthy of the Fantasy Shop. Now I need to head up there to take my son to Free Comics Day. :)
