I think it *can* be a positive thing, although I'm concerned with them "sanitizing" story lines that don't fit their corporate image.

I don't think that will be an issue. Disney already OWNS the children's market...what they are looking for is an extension of their target audience. That's why they bought Marvel...they want into that all-important 18-34 age bracket, and they'll get it. Disney has a good history of fairly hands-off management in their entertainment acquisitions.

And I think that everyone neglects to remember that Disney (the giant global conglomerate) brings all kinds of material to the world that isn't whitewashed kids drivel. They own the company that has released every single one of Quinten Tarantino's movies for example.
