Gaming Message Board > What's Everybody Playing?
Well, after a year-long D&D campaign, my group(led by the very kickass GMing of Mike Brodeur) has decided to start up a Savage Worlds campaign set in the Midnight campaign setting. This will be my second ongoing Savage Worlds game, as I also play in a Deadlands game. It's a great, easy and CHEAP system. Everyone should give it a look! In addition to my forays into the wonders of roleplaying, I also still play Magic the Gathering on a semi-weekly basis with a large group of loud, arrogant and fun-loving individuals. Good times, heh. Most of my boardgaming occurs @ work. Over @ Flo, we popped open a copy of the new game The Adventurers. Pretty fun but could be made even more so by some clever houserules. Anyhow, that's the gist. Game on!
I am starting a Savage BPRD game set in the Pacific Rim during the Cold War starting in the New Year, I am really excited to start playing around with the system.
I've just converted my 3.5 Monster homebrew campaign a couple of weeks ago, converted over to Pathfinder. Going good so far.
I like playing Dejarik, Pazaak, and Klin Zha. Problem is, not many people know how to play or even want to play. I wish I could find a good match. Oh, Thank you store manager in St. Charles who I can't remember the name of, you aren't bad at dejarik courtier rules. Sorry, I have memory lapses due to one of my medical conditions.
Now I remember, Mike played me! Mike actually did very well at his first game of dejarik. If anyone wants to set up a match or just wants to find out what those games are, just let me know.
Ninja vs. Ninja and FITS with my perpetually angry but beautiful girlfriend.
I prefer backgammon. Or Gin Rummy! Now there's a MAN'S game!
A man's game, eh? I prefer a grand ole game a peanuckle!!!
Do you mean Pinochle? Cause that's a real game.
How about a game of Chess?
We have just had our first year completed with my on going Champions group. This is the old BBB version not the new one. Really fun mix and alot of over the top comic book abuse happening to my players. So long live Champions!!
I am DM'ing a D&D 4th Edition game and also playing in a weekly online D&D 4th edition game using maptools. At least for me I am really enjoying D&D 4th Edition. I would love to play Cthulhu Tech or Eclipse phase because they sound so interesting and I heard some good stuff about them.
I haven't heard anything about Eclipse Phase. What've you heard Nick? I'm always looking for new and interesting games.

Been a few years since I've been in the St. Charles location, but I used to come in on Wednesdays for a good ol' rousing game of WoW TCG. Was quite fun, but would have been EVEN better if I had drawn a better hero. I got out of it after the league ended, and I just recently gave some thought to coming back in. On break atm, so I'm game if enough people wanna get another one started.

I'm just curious what games people are playing these days? I've been playing Pathfinder rather regularly over the last couple of months and am really in to FITS, Dominion, Pandemic, and am starting to get my head wrapped around Savage Worlds. I think that this is a fantastic time to be both a gaming and comic fan and that means it's a great time to be a Fantasy Shop customer. Who's with me? What're you playing?
